What the day looks like

Around 3–4.5 hours. Depart every morning at 8:00 am Bali time from Nusa Lembongan.

Manta rays may be seen, but they are wild animals and sightings are never guaranteed. The crew may change locations when conditions call for it.

Your route and boat

The usual route visits Manta Bay, Crystal Bay and Mangrove. If there are few or no manta rays at Manta Bay, the captain may replace Manta Bay with Manta Point, if sea conditions allow. Manta Point is an alternative stop, rather than a fourth location. Locations may change and sightings are never guaranteed.

Maximum capacity: 22 people per boat. A crew member records shared GoPro footage of guests. The guide provides a download link the following day; contact reservations on WhatsApp if you need the link again.

Manta ray snorkelling: what to expect

Keep an open mind about the day’s wildlife. Manta opportunities depend on nature and whether a manta location is suitable for the conditions. Reef snorkelling is part of the planned experience, and the crew may change locations. Specific spots and sightings are not guaranteed.

Trip price and pickup

IDR 350,000 ≈ A$29 / person

AUD amounts are indicative, rounded up to whole dollars using a 3 October 2026 mid-market guide. IDR is the reference price.

Regular trip pickup and meeting point

• Jungutbatu: complimentary pickup around 7:40 am Bali time.
• Lembongan village, Mushroom, Dream Beach, Sunset Beach: IDR 50,000 per person for one-way pickup only. Be ready at your hotel reception at 7:30 am Bali time.
• Coming without pickup: arrive at Pisang Pisang Restaurant ↗ before 7:45 am Bali time.
• Ceningan: pickup can only be arranged at the start of the Yellow Bridge on the Nusa Lembongan side. Around 7:30 am Bali time; IDR 50,000 per person for one-way pickup.

All pickup times are estimates and will be confirmed after booking. These arrangements apply to the regular 8:00 am departure. The paid pickup charge does not include return transport. Private boats do not include pickup; meet at Pisang Pisang Restaurant. For the Bali day trip, return hotel transfers in Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak are included. Extra-area transfers are charged separately per vehicle, each way; exact pickup and the final quote are confirmed after booking.

Joining with children or trying snorkelling for the first time?

Tell reservations each guest’s age, swimming confidence and experience in open water. All snorkelling gear is included. For regular and private trips, children require adult supervision; no fixed adult-to-child ratio is specified. Infants may join, but this is not recommended. A private boat is the preferred option for groups with infants or children. Minimum-age bands, child fares and non-snorkelling passenger fares still need confirmation. Non-swimmers are not recommended. Child and adult sizes of masks, fins and lifejackets are available on regular and private trips. Lifejackets are available but wearing one is not mandatory. A guide enters the water while the captain stays aboard; the boat has one captain and one guide. The captain gives a safety briefing. Guest insurance is not included. Boarding is from the beach. Tell reservations about any mobility or boarding concerns before booking; step-free access and individual suitability have not been confirmed. Ask whether the trip and expected conditions suit your group before requesting a place.

Prepare for your day on the water

Plan for swimwear, a towel, sun protection and a dry bag for belongings. All snorkelling gear is included. A crew member records shared GoPro footage of guests. The guide provides a download link the following day; contact reservations on WhatsApp if you need the link again. Drinking water and refreshments are included on the regular trip. Guest insurance is not included. Keep your written confirmation and the reservations contact available on the day.

2. Send the prepared WhatsApp request and share your accommodation location and any family requirements.
3. Wait for written confirmation of availability, meeting or pickup arrangements, inclusions and the final amount.

The form is an enquiry. Reservations are first come, first served. Arrange payment promptly with the team and wait for written confirmation; a message alone does not secure your place.
